Danny grabs his bag from his chair. "Comin', comin', jeez," he mutters good-naturedly, putting his other arm through the jacket sleeve and pulling it on, sliding the bag over his neck. "Calm down, it's family night, we're gonna make it there on time. It's not like yer goin' inta labor right now or anythin'," he teases.

Picking up the photograph from the table, he grins, reaching for her other hand and squeezing it. "There's a coupla more I wanna bring in here now that I gotta office instead'a a desk, yanno? But this was the first thing I brought in. No lie, Montana. It was in here even before the computer."

It was the first of their family nights since his promotion to what was essentially second-in-command, after Mac left the lab, leaving Stella in charge. She'd been quick to move into his office, "ruling" fairly, and Danny had gotten her office. He'd done his fair share of teasing Lindsay, who had equal status as a CSI, but he'd had more seniority in New York.

He squints, concentrating, trying to remember The Little Mermaid. " ( ... )

Lindsay looked at him and shook her head, "Danny, I'm four months pregnant, and I think going into labour twice while at work doesn't mean that this little one's coming early. You worry too much," well, he teases her to much.

She smiled then, looking up at him, "I always knew you were a softy under all that hard exterior, after all, you did cry when both Lucy and Joey were born. Are we gonna go three for three here?" She looked back down at the picture in their hands, "Wont be long before you'll have to update this one."

In truth, Lindsay wasn't ever bothered by Danny being promoted over her, he'd been here longer and with being the mother of two children now, she'd had a lot of time off. Besides, Danny deserved it more, at least in her own eyes.

Nodding she headed for the door, "That's the one, I've been trying to tell her that it'd be nice if she decides on somehting Joey likes too. But she'd stubborn, just like her father." Taking his hand she lead them towards the elevator, "And you know she's not into Cars, but unless she ( ... )

"I know," he grumbles playfully. "Ya think I woulda learned after Lucy. I swear, Montana, I'm not lettin' ya set foot in this lab after yer leave starts. I'm gonna have ta see if I can take all my breaktime at once an' just take an hour or two ta run home an' have lunch with ya." He glances at her, hiding a smile. "An' a quickie."

Crying at the birth of your child is completely manly, and he shrugs. "Dunno, don't care. I'm a total softie when it comes ta my family. An' I know ya didn't wanna with Lucy or Joey, but I wanna get a picture'a us with yer belly. Just you an' me an' yer bare belly. I wanna. An' I've been thinkin', I wanna get another tattoo, somethin' fer all'a us. I dunno about names, but..." He shrugs. "Just somethin'."

"I love playin' good cop bad cop with ya when we're home," he presses the elevator button. "Especially when I get ta play good cop an' Daddy gets ta save the day. Gotta keep up my softie reputation," he teases as the elevator dings and he pulls her in. Empty. Good. He waits until the doors close. It's a ( ... )

Lindsay shook her head at him, "You and I both know that you can't stop me from coming here. And what would you rather have happen? Me go into labor here where there are a lot of people who can drive me, or would you rather me be alone at home and have to get there on my own or wait for you to get home before I can go to the hospital." And that the quickie comment she shook her head, "You get worse the bigger I get, I tell you ( ... )
