Did anyone else hear the rumor that they changed the rules so that Penny Pickle could be Head Girl? I have trouble believing it, I mean, there's absolutely no historical precedent (I checked!) but it would be a little amusing. I'm not sure why they would bother, after all, it's not as if we seventh years are entirely incorrigible and unreliable ( Read more... )

I think the Potter boys' grandad was Head Boy without having been a prefect first. Their grandma was a prefect for the two years beforehand though, as far as I know.

Yes, but Potter was a seventh-year, not a sixth year!

Oh yeah. That would be odd. And if someone was a head student in sixth year, would they still be for seventh year? It seems terribly unfair for someone to have that role for two years in a row.

It would be unfair! Also, it'd be harder for them to get the respect of the rest of the students.

I would not serve as Head Boy to Penny Pickles as Head Girl.

Are you saying that you're Head Boy?!

Would that be the worst thing in the world?

No, just... a surprise. So long as you didn't try and abolish Quidditch, of course.

I don't think they did that.

Probably not. Funny rumor, though!

I like the one where Edward killed Victor Elms better!

What? I didn't hear that! I'd die of amusement if it were true. What was the motive; was Victor supposedly Head Boy?

But Monty, we seventh years ARE terribly unreliable and incompetent!! Don't you remember? We counted exactly seventy-six students who muttered "what the deuce was the Headmaster smoking when HE got appointed Prefect" on the train in fifth year in regards to yours truly!

Yes, but you don't exactly represent the entirety of the seventh-year population. Just because your appointment suggests that the Headmaster is off his rocker doesn't mean that there's no one else in the class who's responsible.

If Penny is Head Girl, I am not going back to school.

Also, our cats are sisters! I wonder if they have any differences.

I agree; we can boycott the administration's obvious use of illegal drugs.

We're practically related, then! Licorice has a whitish gray spot on her chest; does Drooble?

Yes, what a good idea.

No, she's completely black. I guess Licorice is unique!

That's a little ironic, that the kitten named after a black candy isn't completely black.
