Hell, I've carried a lighter in my pocket daily since I was 14. Do I smoke? Yes, but only the occasional cigar. Did I ever start a brush fire or burn down a building or anything like that with a lighter? Nope. Next it'll be pocket knives, then kittens or some other retarded shit.
