Alrighty! Tonight I watch Land of the Dead as part of Jennifer's birthday. Happy Birthday Jennifer! The actual party is Friday night, the day before Octoberfest! It makes me yearn for the Land of the Dead game coming out, as well as the City of the Dead spinoff-sequel game, both of which Mr. Romero will be involved with. It's nice these days that

Yeah, I kept meaning to see it at least once more in the theatres before it left. I'll have to talk to Frank about his impressions, since we've been discussing it for quite awhile off-and-on on Messenger.

Yeah, the weird cheesiness somehow fits Romero's other work perfectly. It's a very fine balance between being too fruity and being dead serious that he excels at. No one else comes that close. I keep remembering the band member zombies in the bandstand at the start, as well as the cheerleader one. Kind of creepily corny!

When I saw that I commented...Romero has the best zombies. I've always liked his use of dark humor.

Yeah thats pretty neat... I'd like to do a Dr. Who tribute/remix but I just can't bring myself to cut up movie/TV show samples and put it in music. I did the one Dr. Whoish piece though, perhaps I'll pull it up and throw some Dr. Who samples in it:

The guy who made it said he felt guilty about the samples too, and offered a version of it without them on the same site. Actually the whole site has an incredible selection of Who-theme inspired remixes. You should definitely make one!
