Don't even begin to ask how pissed I've been that I've never gotten a chance to see it. I guess my failing was in expecting it was going to go fairly wide eventually.
I think it showed on one screen in Tulsa for two weeks. I guess that is a wider release than a film with this sort of budget usually gets, but nope, it didn't hit the silver screens round the world...
I was expecting at least the AMC theatres in major cities to pick it up, because they usually do get around to these level of films. But I guess not this time. Oh well, at least its widely available now.
brick is easily the best american independent film to see release this year. it's up there with rushmore for unusual coming-of-age films. seriously, that good.
Yeah I've only heard raves about it for months, and was intrigued by its trailer I saw in front of The Constant Gardener back in February.
I'm wasn't that impressed with Rushmore (don't kill me!), but I know I'll love this just based on the trailer alone (I'm an excellent judge of films via their trailers).
