Month of Celebration Raffle!
The Monsters are back, and better than ever! And just in time for the Month of Celebration (MoC)! We're kicking things off with a big Happy Birthday greeting for the Monster Nursery's 3rd birthday, and the first day for the MoC Raffle!
The Monster Nursery's Month of Celebration Raffle!
The MoC Raffle happens during the entire month of October and besides being a lot of fun, it's also a way the Monster Nursery can say thank you to all the Proud Monster Parents and friends of Monsters who have made the Monster Nursery what it is today!
The raffle starts today and will go until the end of the month. The drawing for the grand prize will be on the 31st and the winner will be announced here on the site. Each ticket is still only $1 (what a deal!), and you can purchase as many as you like. The more tickets you buy, the better your odds of winning are, but we've also had a past winner that only bought one ticket!
This year, the Grand Prize will be revealed in stages during the month of October. The Grand Prize Winner will be able to choose the color/style they want from the prizes available in each category presented. All prizes will be revealed before the date of the drawing, and you can purchase tickets anytime before then. Watch the site (and blog) for prize announcements and other MoC announcements!
The first prize revealed is a Monster Nursery Stocking!
The first 5 stockings are the same kind of stockings that are available each year on our site. They are made of fleece with a cuff of monster fur, a fleece monster head, and a ribbon to hang your stocking up with. They are about 11" tall, and the foot is about 6" long. These stockings are valued at $35.
This stocking is a little different. It's the same size as the fleece stockings, and similar to them except that it's made of green and black striped brocade with a velveteen feel to it. It has a matching monster head accent on top, a cuff of monster fur, and a hanging ribbon. This stocking is worth a bit more than the fleece stockings, but we wanted to include it because it's very monsterly and unique!
The next two are very special. They have the same shape as the fleece stockings, but are smaller at just under 6" tall, and 3" long on the foot. The light blue one is made of microsuede, and the burgundy one is made of a thick matte satin material. Both of them have high quality white venice lace on the cuff, metallic silver braided ribbon for hanging, and a small Monster Nursery tag inside the cuff (the other stockings have a tag on the outside seam of the cuff). They both have matching monster heads with white furry hair, and Swarovski crystals for eyes (in Light Sapphire and Emerald Green respectively). These little stockings are perfect to give as a gift, or hold very special small gifts as they hang on your Christmas or holiday tree! The Swarovski eyes will really sparkle when they reflect the lights on your tree. They are hand made, and most of the sewing on these is stitched with needle and thread by hand. They're valued higher than the fleece stockings, but we wanted to include them in with the prize options because they are so perfectly monsterly!
