I am feeling less sad and a bit more normal now. I realized that I do not look completely freakish in the pictures that pixelwrangler sent me, so I might even post them

im super sorry your bike was stolen!

i know youve got the pick of bikeshare bikes, and youre on your way to fixing up the new-to-you one, but if you'd like a bike for the next couple months, youre welcome to borrow mine. i wont use it until its warmer/all the mess is gone from the streets for good. its only a year old and in almost perfect working condition. if you promise not to let it get stolen, i'd be happy to share. :)

Thanks, hon. I think someone is going to lend me a bike, but if for some reason it doesn't work out, I'll let you know. Your bike is all new and fancy and stuff, though...does it have fenders? Cuz fenders are a must for winter/wet riding.

if they are what they think they are (the long curved things that sit over a wheel?) then no, no fenders for my bike. which is perhaps one of the reasons i choose not to ride in the cold/wetness.

it is just sitting in my hallway, in the way actually, for the next 2 months ish, so you are welcome to it. should be less wet/cold from now on, hopefully, so maybe you could manage fender-less if need be.

just let me know if at any point you need it, cause it wouldnt be a hassle at all. :)
