YA books about The Gay, to be precise. I haven't read his books; perhaps I should.

Boy Meets Boy is supposed to be great, as is his new one with Rachel Cohn, Naomi and Ely's No-Kiss List. I've only read Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, which I loved, but it's not really about teh gay so much.

It doesn't have to be about Teh Gay for me to like it. :) It's more that I'm glad folks are writing more teen lit with queer content. He makes a really good point about finding the right book at the right time.

I wonder if the library is open today...I could use some fun books to read.

This is what I do for a living! I do PR for the teen librarians division of ALA. Teen lit is a great place for diversity, not just about queer content but race, body image, etc. I wish there were as many great books for teens when I was one as there are now. Another one I loved is The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things.

If you're looking for some fun books, you can use these lists as a guide. The Popular Paperbacks and BBYA lists might be a good one for you. I think Pop Paperbacks did a GLBTQ list a couple years ago.
