My mom sent me a bunch of kitchen stuff. Some of it is from her kitchen, my childhood kitchen. It makes me nostalgic and slightly homesick.

I know. But it was nice of her to send it.

And Clancey has been spending a lot of time sitting in the empty box, which is cute.

there is something about kitchen stuff.
my mom gave my my childhood rolling pin a while ago... she had the same one, but 'mom sized'. things that stick out in my head are:
-the round wooden cutting board that my dad always had peanut butter toast on.
-the potato masher with 1970's little green leaves on it.
-the flat 'pancake making pan', with ridges on one side (but we never used that side.)
-the wooden spoon with the slightly flat fatter handle than the usual round stick kind. perfect for my kid-sized hands when cookie making.

what did your mom send you?

Some baking pans, cookie sheets, lots of cookie cutters, a potato masher, a ladle, cooling trays, measuring cups. Lots of kinda random stuff. And ladybug chocolates that have green sour apple filling inside!
