Ahaha. We're going to try to make it to Y-con next year. If so, the costumes will definitely come with us.

Sadly there are no shippy photos here... because it's kind of hard to take any when it's just the two of you.

Oh I love Mononoke Cosplays. I've never seen one poorly done. I guess it' because the costume design in Mononoke is so beautiful.
I'd like to cosplay Medicine Seller one day.
How long did it take to make? Was it expensive?

I suspect it's so much work that anyone without the experience shies away from even attempting it...

Well, I did both the costumes... the OS costume itself was very easy, it's a basic kimono minus the full sleeves. The MS kimono took a lot longer, mostly because I had to make the pattern for the sleeves, cut and sew all the different sections, and then applique the circles on top of everything. I also had to hand-dye the teal, because I couldn't find anything the proper color. The fabric would be the big cost factor--I was lucky enough to inherit a bunch of fabric just as I was beginning work on it, but I would say that mine ended up coming in at about the $150-200 dollar range, including the wig and make-up.
