Negroes Can Has Priesthood

30 years ago this June, the LDS president Spencer W. Kimball recieved "revelation" from God, telling him to allow the Negro to hold the priesthood. Although Mormons claim that their god is unchanging, he apparently changes his mind with every drastic change in law and social trend. In fact, every god seems to be like this, yet people still insist that it's God's opinions changing, not us changing our theology to suit our current zeitgeist. I suppose it's kind of like wondering whether it's God we created in our image, or we who were created in God's image, as in Christian dogma (thus God probably looks like a primate with a belly-button from his divine umbilical cord and has a digestive system to digest all that wonderful supernatural ambrosia; is God an inny or an outty?), you can go either way depending on your mindset.

Brigham Young said that the Negro would not recieve the priesthood until just before the Resurrection, and it's been 30 years, so I suppose the end draws nigh.

religion, mormonism, progressivism
