BODY & APPEARANCE.
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Nebraska is of average height, about five feet, five inches, and slender. She's not particularly curvy, and not particularly sticklike - she sits rather comfortably in the middle.
2. How old is she?
Twenty-six.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
She has terrible posture. She slouches, leans against things, hunches over when she sits, basically good posture is a foreign concept to her.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
She's fairly healthy. She's as prone to colds and the like as the next person, maybe slightly more so since she doesn't take many precautions against sickness. No illnesses or physical disabilities, but she is allergic to dogs and peanuts, and suffers from mild allergies in the summer. She's thin, but not in very good shape. She doesn't work out or eat well, so she gets winded pretty easily when running, and doesn't have a great amount of physical strength. She's lazy and doesn't take good care of herself, and it's evident in her physical capabilities or lack thereof.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Lazy is a word that will probably come up often when describing Nebraska. She moves lazily, giving the impression that she has nothing to do and nowhere to go - this is generally true. She appears pretty relaxed most of the time, and moves easily. I wouldn't call her graceful or fluid, really, as she's prone to running into things due to not paying that much attention. She's not that clumsy, but she does trip sometimes, because she doesn't tend to pick up her feet very high when she walks; she mostly just shuffles along.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
She's pretty cute. Not super gorgeous or anything, but kind of adorable, with her big front teeth and sort of derpy face. She has nice bone structure. She doesn't tend to look at herself in the mirror, but she's fairly critical of her appearance. She'd rather be hot than cute, but she doesn't care enough to put the effort into making herself more attractive. She's sort of ambivalent in that regard, with simultaneous conflicting attitudes toward the whole thing. Whens she bothers, she does clean up nice.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Pale as the snow. She doesn't get out much during the day. Her complexion is pretty flawless. She's got scars here and there on her hands and legs from just getting into scrapes and whatnot, but otherwise she was genetically blessed and has not had to deal with a lot of breakouts or other blemishes.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Her hair is a medium/dark brown, and she wears it cut pretty bluntly across the back, a few inches below her shoulders. Her bangs are heavy, cut in a straight line just above her eyes. It's soft and thick and relatively long; there's a lot of it, and she's too lazy to fuss with it, so she usually wears it down, or in a ponytail or messy bun. Easy to maintain is key.
9. What color are her eyes?
They're on the greener side of hazel.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Not naturally; she's pretty average. She does have a tattoo, though! It's a gnarled, old tree on her back. The trunk goes from the base of her spine up to toward her shoulder blades, where it splits into branches. It has some multicolored leaves, but not in a rainbow or any sort of pattern. Flying above it, across her shoulders, are three solid black birds. Each bird means something. When people ask about it, she tells a different story each time.
11. What are her chief tension centers?
While she sort of exudes the exact opposite of tension, Nebraska does tend to get a lot of knots along her spine and shoulders.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
Nothing fancy. She wears a lot of t-shirts, usually ones she finds amusing, and jeans. In colder months, she wears long sleeves and thermals underneath her t-shirts, and hoodies and/or jackets over them. She likes beanies and knit scarves, too. Her jeans, sweatshirts, and jackets are dark or neutral colors, while her shirts, beanies, scarves, and socks are kind of a mixed bag. Some are dark, others are absurdly colorful. She spends as much time as possible in pajamas, which usually consist of a camisole in some solid color, and fuzzy, patterned pajama pants. As for shoes, she mostly cycles through a few pairs of beat up sneakers.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
Her clothes fit fine. She prefers them a bit baggy, and they aren't specially tailored to her body type or anything, but she's skinny enough that it's not difficult for her to find clothes that fit fairly well. She seems comfortable enough; she spends most of her time lazing around, so she likes to be wear clothes that allow her to do so easily.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
Same on the job as in her free time, yep. She's fought demons in pajamas and slippers more than a few times, even.
