Fail.

The little monkie got a million shots on Friday (during which appointment I got a migraine and had to call in to work for the rest of the day), then I fell down carrying her on Saturday. Injury count (me, not her): one (1) sprained wrist, in brace; one (1) bandaged forearm; two (2) scraped and bruised knees; one (1) appointment Thursday for MRI on ( Read more... )

Sigh, thank you! I was able to take the brunt of it, but she did bump her head and got scared. :(

Oh no, Monkie! If it makes you feel any better, my mother missed a step while carrying my sister down the stairs once. She snapped her ankle clear in half but my sister didn't get a scratch on her. I think hideous mom injuries are pretty common, sadly. Oh, then there was my husband's best friend, who got tripped by his cat and actually dropped the baby (who was fine). Feel better now?

GG had me dying of awesome.

No DC fic this month, sadly, as it's Novel Time in Casa de Moneypenny. I have 1000 words so far!

It's weird, but all these baby-dropping stories DO make me feel better! And yay for the novel! That's better news, really!

Awww, feel better! To share my own injured-Mom story, Mom and I were walking down the hallway in some building, and she lost her balance, crashed into a table, and completely bruised her hip. In front of everybody. Yeah, it was a little awkward.

ANYWAY. There is no feel-good DA/DC fic that you haven't already seen. Grr, we need more readable fic in this fandom! /o\

*hugs you gently*

I slipped going downstairs with my 2-year-old daughter, sprained the bejeezus out of my ankle and the momentum took A's head right into the stair bannister! Fortunately, she is very hard-headed!

Mr. Bone's mom tripped at the top of a flight of stairs and launched him the entire length of the stairwell -- he missed the dryer at the bottom of the stairs by inches. In a panic, they drove him to the hospital (he wasn't even 1 yet; it was 1966) and the doctor took looked at him, looked at her and said, "He's fine. I'm worried about you."

The fact that YOU are hurt instead of her tells me volumes about your momminess. :)

(And yes, GG was pretty fucking ninja last night. Eric rocks. Chuck rules. And Nate can spend the entire season with his lips vacuum-locked to someone and that would be a-okay with me.)

Oh, Bone, THANK YOU for this comment. Everyone else's horror stories are making me feel better!!! It was still the scariest thing that's ever happened to me, though. :/

Chuuuuuuuuck. LOVE IT.
