This is the story of the hurricane

Y'all, I set my alarm for 5:30 this morning and woke up and ran two miles. !!!! I haven't exercised since I had the little monkie -- mostly because I am convinced they don't make sportsbras that could have supported my boobs while I was nursing (for the record, the post-pregnancy, post-breastfeeding, current size? 30 GG. The fuck.) -- but it was a lot easier than I'd expected! My get-in-shape plan is to run at least four days a week, and only let myself drink alcohol if I've run that morning. I also need to start crunches, but. I hate them, so we'll see if that happens. Ha.

In fannish news, I am the luckiest girl in the world because I have awesome people sending me bits of the David Cook fics they're working on, and can I just say, AIEIEIEIE? I cannot get enough of it, apparently. Otherwise, I've been re-reading and re-reading Mirabella's The Shadow of his Wings, which is probably in my top two pieces of fanfic of all time. She is really a damn good storyteller, and I love me some H/D, I won't lie. SO, SO sad that it's a WIP. What are some of the other long, plotty H/D must-reads? I forget already.

But back to David Cook. Today's entries in the "songs I hear on XM that DC should cover": Def Leppard's Photograph and Bon Jovi's Lay Your Hands on Me. (Yes, I listen to really, really bad XM stations.)

And many of my west-coast DC peeps have had good luck meeting the man himself! By all accounts, he truly seems to be a nice guy. That makes me feel slightly bad about watching him do a backbend on youtube eighty million times and objectifying him, but only slightly. IT'S NOT LIKE HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING.

Backbend. Come on.

I want to be writing, but I'm sort of stuck on the two pieces I've started and don't have any other good ideas. Bah. Who has some ficcish wishlist items, DC-style?
