Thank you. Exactly my thoughts. Okay, so she got most of the time usually allotted to the monster and victims of the week. But most of SAM'S screentime? Oh hell no.

I was looking forward to being amused by the TWO OF THEM interacting with Jo. Instead, on the rare occasions all three of them were in the same place Sam got to sit around with an "Uh oh, mom and dad are fighting again!" expression.

Also, the big reveal at the end? Totally ripped off from Star Trek: The Next Generation, thanks.

On the other hand, it'll take me all of about ten minutes to Dudemeter this ep....

And it's like ... I'm not even sure the Sam underutilization was all that necessary. Eh.

Excellent point about wanting to see Sam AND Dean with her, and I agree 100%.

W/r/t the reveal ... I guess I'm still holding out hope that she's a sister, sort of. That whole scene, all I could think of was:

Luke: "But you told me that Darth Vader betrayed and MURDERED my father."
Obi-Wan: "What I told you was true, from a certain point of view."

Anyway, AHAHAHAA, the dudemeter! Too right.

That is exactly my reaction!! It's TOO CUTE for words. I LOVE Marty. I must rewatch for the Marty-ness of it all!!! HEHEHEHEHEH!!

As for Jo - I liked her. I dont think there's *any* love interest chemistry going on, but she was ok. I did spend the entire episode feeling like I'd somehow missed a bit...like something was off (then dakotas_tale went, yeah SAM's missing which made me laugh) but I don't think it's just that. Felt like they wrote it then went back and cut bits so it didnt' quite fly. But anyway!!!! MARTY!!!!

I was wondering if it's not because of JP's arm or something. I mean, dude can't do much heavy lifting with the cast on. Maybe the writers are just trying to work around it.
