I’d like to tell you a love story. It isn’t really mine to share, although I was certainly involved. The majority of it took place while I was backstage, long after my scene had ended. But one day I was pulled into the spotlight again, in just a chorus role really, when I’d always fancied myself a lead character.

I met Brand when I was 14. Tall and ( Read more... )

Lucky guy. These things almost always end in disaster, and absolution twice in one night.
A fiercely honest story Miss Lisa, thanks for sharing so freely. Raw human emotion has rarely be shared so openly.

Thank you, eqfe.

I really didn't know if they would make it. I figured she would get out of the house, get to college, realize she was just a kid and wanted to be single and free - and date a guy her own age who wasn't some serious grad student with already losing his hair at 24, lol.

But, while we were talking, he kept saying how they talked about everything, how they had these deep conversations about life and God and the nature of the universe, and I thought "Maybe she's just an old soul." God knows I didn't behave the way most 15 year olds did.

And here they are, married and I suspect happy. I imagine they do feel really lucky!

As someone who blogs about relationships (www.HookingUpSmart.com), I hear a LOT of stories, some of them amazing. But this one gave me goosebumps. The honesty, your heart laid bare. I love the part where you did feel competitive and went for it, even though you knew he was in love with someone else. I love how you were affirmed by it, even though his treatment of you that night made you feel used.

Wow. What an amazing compliment! Thank you so much for reading this!
I was a little hesitant to share this, but the response has been really encouraging.

An interesting aside to this story is that, HE is the one who friended me on Facebook two years ago and HE is the one who asked when I would be coming to the reunion last year.

I guess I left an impression, lol.

Thank you SO much!

I was really undecided as to what I'd write this week and I was making myself lunch on Thursday and it hit me that this was a story I LOVE to tell, but I'd never told on here!

It was really two stories in one, double your money - is that allowed? :)

And thank you so much!

Wow, that's quite a story. Yeah, I'm pretty surprised they actually ended up together. That guy was very lucky not to have been arrested!

I'm glad for them - and probably a touch jealous even, lol!

But, wow, you are so right. He could have gotten some serious jailtime - and, if they'd cought him the SECOND time he took up with her, well, he never would have seen daylight.
