I really didn't know if they would make it. I figured she would get out of the house, get to college, realize she was just a kid and wanted to be single and free - and date a guy her own age who wasn't some serious grad student with already losing his hair at 24, lol.
But, while we were talking, he kept saying how they talked about everything, how they had these deep conversations about life and God and the nature of the universe, and I thought "Maybe she's just an old soul." God knows I didn't behave the way most 15 year olds did.
And here they are, married and I suspect happy. I imagine they do feel really lucky!

I was a little hesitant to share this, but the response has been really encouraging.
An interesting aside to this story is that, HE is the one who friended me on Facebook two years ago and HE is the one who asked when I would be coming to the reunion last year.
I guess I left an impression, lol.
