Christmas day is o.k. but I love Christmas Eve.
We had dinner at the IHOP - I know, classy, right? -then drove around looking at festive houses. When my daughter asked why I wanted to do it, I said, with a catch in my throat, "So I can watch the light in your eyes."

My husband will tell you that I am the handy one, so it will be *me* with the allen wrench and a frown when it comes time to put dollhouses or bicycles together, lol!
Just wait...in the not too distant future I'll bet you will have some grandkids and then you can be Santa for them too!

Yes, I wish you at *least* 12 more grandchild-less years, lol.
I hope my babies believe in Santa till they are ten. It adds so much joy and surprise to Christmas.
