I've never caught up with my garden this year. The craptastic, eternally cold and wet spring took its toll. I got behind early. And then I got  a few more dozen steps behind. And once tourney season started, I was completely fucked. Plus I've spent just about every non-working, non-sleeping hour of the last three weeks sewing for Coronation ( Read more... )

Your garden sounds lovely even with its flaws. Mine does better on the close your eyes and look away rule :)

Yes, I'm still here. I actually have job where I'm busy all day and not being a post whore to while away the long, boring hours. And the last thing I want to do is be in front of the computer when I get home, so there you go.

Ours is just awful this year. Not going to even hope for recovery of it this year. Looking for the hopes of the fall for cleanup and recovery for next year. -

Yes. We need a long, dry Indian summer to make up for the ugh that was spring. I'd love to be able to put the garden to bed all neat and tidy. Well...one can always hope.

How's the veggie business going?

mine is a total wash this year as well. I'm sure my neighbors are distressed, but oh well.

I was beating myself up over it, but I came to a bit of an epiphany.... my garden will be there next year. its all good.

(and I see that my raspberries, in spite of horrible neglect, have fruit. I'll go pick them tomorrow. woot!)

Berries!!! I picked a goodly amount of boysen, logan and marion berries this morning. Preserves or cobbler are in our future!
