But it's difficult. And anyone who will tell you differently is selling something.
Honestly, online relationships are harder. You only have one aspect of communication to judge by - the written word. It's not spoken, it's not filled with body language, and it's nearly impossible to get as much from something said online to something said in person.
It's not just you. Whatever else you question, don't question that.
I think that's the problem. I rely so much on body language and voice and tone and with online friends you don't have that. It's hard. I do have several people I consider friends though, who I've met online, I think the thing is htat it just takes longer to get to a comfort point.
I know that I definitely count you as a friend. If I didn't then I would have said yes to making your necklace for your special day. Bookie's right, online relationships, be they friendships or otherwise are difficult. You don't get that one on one face time with the person, the facial expressions and body language that we don't realise we rely on so heavily. But they can be great. I know what it's like to feel lonely, but don't question yourself. You're a great friend.
I definitely count you as a friend too, I was just in a sad mood. Though, I definitely think you are braver than I am, since I find long-distance friendships hard, let alone anything else. You're a wonderful friend too (even though we don't get too chat enough--stupid time difference).
Our friendship is definitely not one-sided. I'm just kind of a loner in real life so I am online too. But I do have friends that I love-and you're one of them.
