So i'ts been a while since my last entry, but I have been keeping busy.
I'm afraid I didn't make lots of foto's during te making of the garments, but here are some foto's of the things I made for the Elf Fantasy fair in Arcen, 2012.
First I made my skirt and bodice, from a lovely green fabric I had purchased a while back, to go with the pretty black petticoat I made earlier.
I started with the skirt. Made from the pattern TV292, same as the petticoat I was going to wear underneath it.
Then I made the bodice from TV405 (vest basque). I made the same alterations to the pattern as I did for the previous bodices I made from Truly Victorian patterns. I made the waist smaller and adjusted the shoulder width. In hindsight I do believe I need to start fitting more with the corset on, because the corset does change my shape and the waist should have been taken in even more. But, ...that will be for the next time, since first I'm going to make a new corset, wich I drafted myself...
And here's the bodice with sleeves
I added some embellishments
Made a pretty hat, a purse and a fake fur muff.
This is what it looked like on the day itself
My daughter wanted a sortoff ballroom bodice, but rather plain and in a gold colored fabric. I ordered the fabric online and while I waited for the fabric to come, I made a test version of the bodice. It's the TV416 ballroom bodice, though you might not recognize it from the pictures. I made the same sizing adjustments. Changed the opening to the back, added bones to the centre back for the lacing and left the puff sleeves off. She was rather pleased with it, so I made her bodice the same, once her fabric came.
My son had grown out of his vest so I made him a new vest
And here's how they looked on the day

and an extra back view of our skirts
Tomorrow I will start making my new corset, drafted using the foudations revealed instructions. I will try and make lots of foto's during the making process ...
Hope you like what I made
