Oh, lovely. This hadn't ever been a pairing I was particularly fond of, but I completely buy it here. I especially like the hope at the end.

Oh, dude - nice. And post-finale, I can totally see it (mind you, I can also see post finale Sam/Ellen. Or, come to think of it, Bobby/Ellen, except that I have no yen to write this... ALas, poor Bobby...)

Thanks. Alas poor Bobby, yes. I love him, but really don't have that yen either. Ellen is imminently multi-shippable, though.

I'm sorry for the late comment, but I just found this via a rec.

This is wonderfully written. The dynamic between these two is sharp and surprisingly layered (though it really shouldn't be surprising, given all the walls they've built inside themselves), and you've captured it exactly as I would have imagined--much better, in fact. Excellent fic. :)

Saw this recc'd over at spnstoryfinders. What a beautiful little story - so wonderfully done, fully of meaning beyond the obvious. I love the Dean/Ellen pairing, and you've done it marvelously!
