Here's a case-fic based on another piece of folklore I grew up with that I always wished the boys would encounter.

I love Kobolds. I grew up with 'Pumuckl' - who was this kid-version of a Kobold- he had his own radio show, tv show and book series, it was really cute.

Aw. I'm glad you had old Heinz come rescue the kobbold, it would be wrong to harm a house elf after all (even if it had turned nasty!). I had a chortle or two (Dean and his melons, the whole idea of them selling cheese...)

Given the fact that the only place I've seen the name "kobold" is in D&D stuff, it's nice to read something with the creature D&D got the name off of (they do that a lot).

And they even were careful with the kobold, they could have made him angry very easily, like calling him a Heinzelmänn

I wrote a story where they met Wolpertinger already earlier in the year, but I still really wanted them to meet a Kobold.
