This was something I've thought about writing a few times actually - I love the idea of the boys having to hunt something so small and silly!

What a fun choice on monster! My great-uncle had a Wolpertinger, or so they say, but I never saw it. Bareley knew my great-uncle, though. I don't doubt that it's true. I also don't doubt that it was stuffed.

I see you wrote about Germany as well!

The Wolpertinger is a really unusual and funny monster of the week ...and of course Dean and all the food... Now I really want to eat Kaiserschmarn... damn ;)
And Berchtesgaden made me think of the salt mine there I visited when I was a kid. I could totally imagine Sam and Dean walking around down there and nicking some salt for future use ;)
I sent them to Bavaria, too, but I couldn´t think of a reason why and how they got there... now, I can imagine they simply journeyed on after the Wolpertinger hunt in your story^^

Wolpertinger are my favorite mythical animal - I always wanted Sam & Dean to hunt one, so I was very happy when this challenge came around ; )
Ich hätte auch so gerne einen Kaiserschmarrn. Mmmmm, lecker!

But I can´t remember whether I licked the wall or not ;)
I´ve never thought about Wolpertinger in connection with SPN but hunting them would undoubtedly make a good story for a funny episode *gg*
