So incredibly sad but, as always, beautifully written. Having it all told from Castiel's POV, and to have him unknowingly complicit, was absolutely brilliant. Just like we see over and over on the show, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, but this time it was the road to hell on earth. The imagery was fabulous, and I especially loved the lone coloured feathers disintegrating to ash. Sam's eternal screaming gave me shivers; it's horrific to think Sam would be trapped inside his own mind as Lucifer used his hands to burn the world. I loved it.

I do love end!verse - it lends itself so well to devastation and sadness since both are inherent to it.
