Halloween Costumes

Alright folks, Halloween is over a month away, and I'm going to try to have a costume ready early this year!  Most years I don't think about what I'm going to wear until 1 or 2 nights before Halloween and end up not loving my costume or having to throw something together or having to pull out an old costume that should have been retired already (

What should I do if we don't do a couple's costume? I'm thinking he might end up just doing his own thing entirely.
