This Is Not What I Intended

The first day of 2013 starts with a first world problem. I still don’t have my Brydge keyboard for the iPad.. This was a Kickstarter project I signed up with in April 2012 with an estimated October delivery. I stopped posting in September with the hope that my next post would be written with the use of this sexy looking keyboard. But a number of ( Read more... )

I was going suggest you contact them but popped over to the Kickstarter page and found LOTS of complaints so I guess adding yours won't help much;-)

The problem I am finding with Kickstarter projects is a lot of them seem to have no idea about project timelines and those that do sometimes find their projects morph out of all recognition. I am currently being burned by the Wollstonecraft Kickstarter which morphed from the promise of an independent release in July-August to being published commercially sometime in the unknown future. Given the Kickstarter basically paid his wages for the next two years($91000!) finding he was in negotiation with publishers before the Kicksarter finished left a really sour taste in my mouth.

I hope you get your keyboard soon. I see Brydge are blaming UPS delays now, so God knows when you will get it. :-((

This is my first real issue with a Kickstarter project. Most of the ones I've signed up to have been small scale and have delivered more or less on time. And even the one or two bigger projects have been responsive, at least in terms of updated timelines etc. These guys have been awful but I'm not going to let the experience taint my general positive feelings to Kickstarter.
