I had to ban someone who's been on my FL for a long time - tonethbone - and someone else pulled religious privilege on me.

I guess there was a reason I wasn't participating here much. Makes me sad.

Really, if someone posted this in your LJ in reference to people on FB:

"I think the people who have the huge numbers (of friends) are self-aggrandizing douches who want to make themselves feel good by being "known" by everyone... but probably have no friends at all. I'd wager that they rarely ever interact with anyone on there, as well."

Would you jump all over the person (me) who said that saying that about people they didn't know made them a bit of asshole?

And them move onto the criticism = censorship argument?

No big loss. He's always been a bit of a snarky self-important prick. Not that most people aren't, but I think the people I like are good at hearing it pointed out instead of rationalizing.

Because I was angry, and because in a community people talk about other people - both good and bad. If you scroll up you can see that trhe Octothorpe had issues with him as well, and that was good for me to hear in terms of my evaluating what happened with me.

My LJ experience has generally been blissfully lacking drama, but have had a few nasty occasions. Always distressing when it occurs.
