I'm in the middle of reading this clever and amusing article on plagiarism: The Accidental Plagiarist: The Trouble with Originality by one Erik Campbell [ via]. It's chock-full of good and great quotes from good and great writers, but it's also got some good stuff from the writer himself.

More quotes I want to remember, though I expect no one else will be interested:

Brilliant description of Nietsche: "This chronically ill German with the crazy, bushy mustache and eyes full of falling angels"

"I became manically mindful of my influences. In time everyone and everything seemed to overlap and bleed"

And, as and extra point, it's the second essay I've read today to talk about Borges. This was the first.
