the good people are leaving the country all at the same time

It's Eeva's last week in the UK, so we've been doing a lot of stuff to make the most of her company before she goes home to Finland this weekend.

On Easter Saturday, a bunch of us had a great spring fling in Tring because she wanted to have a day out in the country ( Read more... )

Cool photos! Last time I saw train times for Tring, I wasn't convinced it was a real place. Actually, I'm still not sure that it is, after looking at your photos. Hmm.

Hope you feel better soon.

I'm bored of being ill, but feeling a bit better, should hopefully see you tomorrow...

The museum at Tring is well worth a look, I think you'd like it (from what I remember, it's been a loooong time since I visited)

You went to Tring and you didn't see the fleas? Ah, the fleas are the best bit!

We didn't have time to get to the museum, but I do remember the fleas from when I visited it when I was a kid!

A few of these would be good for album covers - I was going to post that the silhouette photo is the first album cover for Pocket Sausage, and the first landscape photo of the bare green hill with two tiny people on top would also be a good one. I'm guessing that Pocket Sausage would be a hippie psychedelic folk-rock band, given these potential album covers. :-)

Also, Pocket Sausage is a good band name not just because it has a pleasing sound but also for the potential innuendo - or is that innuendo potential?

...huh. And now I have another CD compilation idea - a "tribute" CD of "Pocket Sausage" songs as covered by other artists. I really like that...

I'd be very intrigued to hear that.

it's a good area - nice stretch of canal, and Ivinghoe beacon, I once had a very romantic tryst on top of their one wintry evening - only the slivovica in a hip flask got us through it. ;-)

I also once cycled the ridgeway (even most of the bits you're not supposed to) from there years ago - a lovely trip.

Post title? I'm staying... ;-)

Note I didn't say "all the good people", I said "the good people are all". Different!
