Check out usps.com and go to the careers link at the bottom of the page. The Postal Service is always looking for bilingual folks. Starting pay is good, benefits excellent. It's a government job, so there are some downsides, but there are crappier jobs that pay a lot less.

I think you need to attend some resume classes like i did at WFD( workforce developement) then i think you need to send your resume to everyone in NYC.. excuse my language but fuck www.careerbuilder.com and www.yahoojobs.com... get out there and play the "send and reply"game like i had too :)

Keep your head up

I will check out USPS! Hadn't thought of it. I actually do send my resume out any and everywhere. However I am somewhat slightly selective about the jobs I apply for. Simply because, I have an advance post-doctorate degree finally and over 10 years of work experience in education and translation. I've finally arrived at a point in my life where I can and should be a little pickier about the jobs I apply for and get. I'm certainly qualified, I'm just not sure I'm looking in the right places.

Absolutely true. We do have some executive-type jobs that deal with international postal issues. Plus, with the increasing Hispanic population among our workforce, people who are fluent in both English and Spanish are at a premium. It doesn't cost anything to check it out, and in terms of government jobs, it's much less restrictive and picky than most.
