I broke up our pumpkins out on the deer path behind the house and ended up with a lot of videos!

Very cool how they dig away at 'em with their hooves... Got a few nice daytime shots too :>

Maybe I need to break these into smaller chunks when newly smashed. Deer use a hard palate vs upper incisors to grab and grind food. There’s at least one sequence where the big fella uses his antlers to position the piece.

It's the "Old Country Buffet" for deer! Speaking of, the "Old Country Buffet" restaurant here closed for good on October 20th this year. 17% of restaurants (110,000) closed this year, 10,000 of which were in the last three months alone. I think we're going into some very dark times ahead.

It’s bad times for the service industry still. My second son tends, or tended, bar in San Diego and they’re shut down again. Here in town our Main Street invested heavily in small venues and they’re in trouble as well.
