Anyone else remember the song “Sample And Hold”? I saw an MTV video of this at a friend’s house back in the early 80’s and went out and bought the album, Trans.
Nice track. I'd hesitate to call it "classic rock", but it's definitely got a fair bit of rock in it. Personally I'd go with "space rock" or something along those lines.
I had heard that he was in a dispute with the record label and quickly put out a few albums of shit just to fulfill his contract and move on. It was about this time that he also put out the doo wop album "Everybody's Rocking" with the Shocking Pinks. I still kinda like "Wonderin'" and "Cry Cry Cry," but it definitely wasn't his best work.
....ooo, so glad you are liking that ELO album! I'd recommend a good relaxing half an hour with headphones on to really let it enrich you fully ^v^
And, on your recommendation, I finally listened to the entire Harvest album by Neil... I had not realized that 'this' was released so far back!! At first I thought it was a collection of reissues, but this was the early dealy wheelie with Heart of Gold on it! Gotta say it was enjoyable yep :>
The one I meant though was This One .... Ya know how some couples might have "their song" or "their album"... well this was our album when I was engaged back in the 1990s ^v^ Another very fine headphones immersion tour!
I may have to look into getting that Decade one... thanks for pointing it out... *waggletail*..
BTW, Neil was the most recent and last 'big' concert I went to, just a couple years ago :D
“Harvest Moon” my bad for mis-reading that. What a lovely album :D Thanks for the share!
I really enjoy Neil’s... arrangements, for lack of a better (correct) word. “Hurricane” embodies these elements, as does “Cinnamon Girl” and others. I guess I have quite a few of his albums.

I missed that era from him, for sure. One of my fave albums of his was Harvest Moon.
This seems like an ok 'atmosphere' song... :>
Though I prefer the ELO venture into other genres a bit more... called Balance of Power.

Harvest was a nice album for sure. A few years back I purchased the digital version of Decade to get hold of a broad swath of Young’s older music.
I gave the whole vinyl collection to my youngest, including my coveted “Comes A Time” and “Rust Never Sleeps” copies.
