With that sticker (?) placement, I read that as "Moon Pear" the first time. Hah!
Can't say I've heard of Frank's works before, but based on the titles I do agree he's got a cute style, both in the older and the newer books.

I knew of some of the books, mostly through work. They are cute, and their stories simple.

This was one of many authors whom we were exposed to when the kids were young (late 80’s), and a welcome reprieve from so many Seuss and Disney books. Scholastic was still pushing Clifford for heaven’s sakes!

Hah! The dark side of the tale is that baby bear believes grandad keeps and feeds a dragon in the basement!
