“I’m not going anywhere,” Billy vows, kissing Dom’s forehead and rubbing the muscles in his tense shoulders. “I’ll be right here.”

Dommie doesn't understand that Billy means that, literally, in every way possible, does he? But hopefully, by the end of this story, he will. I'm glad that Dom is making progress with Doc. Even if it hurts and he has to dredge up some horrific memories it's the only way he'll ever be truly free.

It suddenly dawns on Dom that despite his antisocial tendencies while in this degrading life, others like him would’ve noticed his disappearance.
That's just sad. Probably true, that the other street kids would have noticed Dom missing even if no one else did.

“I don’t, uh, I don’t suppose you’ve seen Cory, have you?” Eric asks hesitantly. “Nobody’s seen or heard from him in almost a week.”
God, that could have been Dom. It makes my heart ache to think of the real kids out there facing that life. Absolutely breaks my heart.

but now Dom can’t shake the heavy weight of guilt, wondering if there’s someone out ( ... )

No, Dom doesn't fully comprehend the depth of Billy's love for him. Trust is a difficult thing, and there are layers to it.

All too easily, Dom could've been where Eric or Cory is. It was lucky that he went to the pub the night Billy stopped by for the first time. Dom is now realizing that, and the guilt is definitely setting in.

A lie of omission. Dangerous. Kinda like walking on thin ice in the spring.

Thank you, hon. You're all caught up now, and I got treated to lots of your comments tonight. Yay!
