Does coconut oil really work for your hair, or is it just a myth?

hair, points i ponder, coconut oil, myth

one thing i know about my hair is that it gets screwed and starts looking like coconut fibre if not oiled at regular intervals.. not to mention the hair fall associated if i dont use it for a long time.. these are some observations from self conducted experiments...
regularly applying oil has helped my hair reach my butt level.. :-))

oil used to work for me until i moved to singapore! :( the last time i applied oil, i lost a great deal of hair.. so i discontinued. but that seems to have made my hair coarse! :(

Well, depends on your hair texture.

But yeah I think it does help! :) If you find it uncomfortable, you could oil your hair just before washing it. That usually feels good:)

I think silky hair / oily scalp => oiling is not necessary...

i used to swear by oil hair massage until one fine morning last year i found this big chunk of hair on my pillow after an overnight oil session! :( i almost fainted at that sight! :(

but now i'm beginning to notice my hair turning thinner and lifeless! :((

You should place a night-vision camera over your head when you are sleeping and observe what exactly is going on.

Sometimes people have roomies who are allergic to oil ;-)

i quite like my hair shoulder-length.. but due to the humid climate here, hair care is quite a task. this is why for the better part of last year i used to wear my hair rather short.. but now i wannna grow em again! and the damn thing keeps shedding like cat's fur! :|
