The following is a small snippet from the interview starting at 6:32:

“I am not a political person. I have done political things before but it’s been brought to my attention that this is a political act, even though that’s now what it feels like to me. It just feels like personal exposure and its uncomfortable. From my understanding, is that ( Read more... )

I do feel bad about the heteronormal thinking (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called...I forget :X). I must admit, as open as I try to be and even though I don't care one way or the other about someone's sexual orientation (unless of course the guy I like turns out to be gay lol!), I tend to assume they're straight. The word is heteronormative :), but I don't blame you for assuming someone is straight. I mean yes it is mostly socialization, but also statistically most people identify as straight. It's sort of this "neutral" we take for granted. Like on LJ I usually assume someone is white and/or a female.

But UGH I heard about NY. I was PISSED. It sucks. Unfortunately NY as a state is actually REALLY conservative and it's just the city that is diverse and liberal. So the rest of the fuckin state ruined it. Douches. This is no separation of Church and State.
