Tahiri had stopped down the hall to wash up after spending some time scavenging in the junkyard, but there was still a smudge of dirt on her cheek when she poked her head in.
"Tell me you noticed what the calendar says it is," she said, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
"It's getting easier," she noted, squeezing his hand lightly in return. She'd also been getting better about not pushing, but she hadn't realized that yet.
"Still working on that gaderffii, trying to figure out what workshops to sign up for, practicing . . ." Tahiri shrugged. "Keeping busy. You, on the other hand, I'm amazed your room isn't full of droids by now."
"It's not a --" She trailed off and smiled slightly. "That won't work on you, will it? But you shouldn't feel bad about what you said. I don't care if she doesn't like it."
"Tell me you noticed what the calendar says it is," she said, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
