This afternoon, I ventured forth to a new territory!  I went with Diana to an authentic Mexican resteraunt, and had a REAL Quesadilla, with a homemade tortilla.  Mmmm... sliced avocado on top!  Damn, it was some good eatin'!  I was very, very pleased ( Read more... )

The party sounds like the party they have when they are 15... God help me I can't think of the name of it. lol I'm sure you know what i'm talking about. :)

birthday parties seem to be a big deal to mexican people. They seem to have alot of BIG ones. :)

I think us white folk get what? one or 2 big birthdays? lol That's pretty neat. I would of loved to have the big fancy 15th birthday party with the dress and all. I didn't even get that at my wedding. lol oh and we better see pictures! I can't wait!

Good luck with the Apt Hunt. I know it sucks. (just about as much as House hunting. lol)

Yeah, Izzy's 3rd Birthday is probably be going to be bigger than our wedding! Another Mexican tradition is get married by the judge, and then get married by the church a few years later! Well, I don't know if its "tradition" or not, but that's they way everyone does it here! So, we haven't had our "wedding" yet! Give me a headache to even THINK about!

The party you're talking about is a Quincenera! They are always a BLAST!!! We went to one about a year ago and for the HALL RENTAL (well, it was a ballroom!) the parents shelled out $5,000! And then two bands ($2000 a pop!) and food and drink... OUCH! And then the dress for the birthday girl and dresses for her "maids" or whatever you call them... Pricey! We better start saving NOW! =D

I love "viewing" the apartment, but I hate applications and such! BLECH. :(
