As a former employee of that M place, I shudder when I think about people navigating their credit cards (regardless of how much of a handle people have over the situation - thankfully you "get it"). Good luck with this - and keep in mind that M is owned by Bank of Amer-ica (paranoid Katie much?).

James and I love and benefit greatly from the CIBC Aerogold. Free flights ALL the time. There is an annual fee, but James did the math (his favourite activity) and it still works out better for us than all other cards. Ugh, credit cards...makes me crazy. Ha ha.

I thought about the Aerogold for quite a while, and ultimately decided that we fly so infrequently that the cash back was far more worth it for me. Depending on what happens, though, who knows? Maybe I'll switch.

I have a CIBC dividend card, no annual fee, 1% "cash back" (actually it comes on to your card as a credit).

I saw that one, too. I thought that the MBNA one would be better for me because of the car rental insurance coverage (given how we rent a car at least once every couple months), and the tiering of the cash back. Even though it isn't that big a deal, the first $1500 being 0.25% cash back and the next $1500 being 0.5% just seemed odd.

I like my Amazon.com Visa. It's Chase, who seem to be less evil than most of the banks these days (sadly, even though they're pretty damn evil) and you get 1% cashback on everything, and 3% cashback on stuff bought at Amazon. "Cashback" used to mean "as an Amazon.com gift certificate" which works well enough since I buy so much crap on Amazon anyway, but recently they changed it so that you get to choose when and how you get the rewards, and while $25 still is only eligible for an Amazon gift certificate, $50 is enough to get it back as an actual check, making it actual cash back. So far I haven't seen any sort of limit, and I always pay my card off in full every month.

Oh, man. That sounds like it could be dangerous. Now, if only Canada had as well-stocked an Amazon store as you guys do! I'd never have to leave the house, *and* I'd get 3% cash back doing it.

I really enjoyed this post. You write about this topic very well. There are many cherished moments in life, why not wear a beautiful dress! When looking back on special memories of your child wearing a gorgeous dress, it will make a fond memory.
