Thanks! Way way way back when (five years ago?) I painted my room like a White Stripes album: the walls were bright red, the trim was gloss black, and most of the furniture was white. It was great, but I don't think that I could go with something so punchy again. Really, it only worked because I was living in my parents' basement.

After having chocolate and light blue walls in my room for the last 2.5 years, I figured it was time to go back to the red. Should look pretty well since I still have mostly white furniture, but also some blonde wood.

Beautiful.

When I get a real house, can you help me choose paint? :)

I (and Janice, I'm sure) would be more than happy to. It's even more fitting to do it in a house, since this C2 paint here lasts forever and thus it's more easy to get your money's worth out of it.

:)

I'm looking forward to that little corner of the apartment the most. The bathroom colour should be really neat, because the bathroom mirror/vanity is absolutely huge and chrome. It should keep things from getting too heavy.

It's nice to find a place where they're proud of the fact that may of the pieces are the original ones from when it was built 35 years ago. (Although they are giving me all-new pipes/sink/toilet.)

Whoa, those are some fun names and some great colors (especially the red, but I'm a dark red kind of person). I'm curious to see your kitchen, though. Compared to the rest of your scheme, it doesn't seem as dynamic?

The kitchen was, I hesitate to say compromise, but a conscious decision? After having a bright orange kitchen last time, I think I'm ready for something a bit more neutral. I'm relying on the white cabinets and stuff to keep it from getting too uniform. As well, I found that the orange walls sometimes made the food look weird colours, which isn't so bad since I didn't eat in there, but still.

If I do end up finding it unbearably bland, I'm sure that it won't be too hard to find a replacement.

I should also mention that, since these are all scanned in instead of me just taking a picture of the chips, everything there is quite a lot deeper. There's a lot more brown richness (heh) in the kitchen colour than it lets on.
