Memorial Day--I'll never forget.

Two years ago today I lost my Daddy. I know that a 38 year old woman should not say Daddy--but, I can't help it. He made me feel like a little girl.....HIS little girl. And I miss him. Heck! Oh Sweetie, I'm so sorry you're hurting. I can't believe it's already been two years. But you're absolutely right. He's looking down on you from heaven and smiling. And I have no doubt that he's so very proud of you.

He may not be around anymore to hug and touch... but you know he'll always be in your heart and he'll always be with you.

(((((hugs)))))

Because she said it so well, I'm just going to say, What Di said.
((hugs)) Remembering him with a smile is a gift to yourself today.
Sending love and prayers.

Aw, V, I'm sorry. I'm glad that you are carrying his memory around with a smile. I think you're right--that's what he would want. Sending love and hugs your way.

I can't believe it's been 2 years, V. I love your decision to follow your Mom's example, though. Hugs to both of you today.

Edited to add: right after I finished writing this I looked outside and saw a huge rainbow in the sky. I made me smile, and I had to tell you about it.

I love the rainbow. I saw a butterfly and smiled too.

Aw, V. I know how much you miss your Daddy. But what a wonderful gift he gave you and your mom to love and miss him, but still live your life. {{hugs}}
