I know a lot of you are religious, and I get it. I used to be too. I grew up going to a Catholic school, went to church, all that. Things changed though. Richard Dawkins opened my mind to a different way of thinking. Science has opened it as well

Completely agree. It makes me see red when I hear people ask for prayers to help them. What, like god's ear is a popularity on test and he'll only heal you/help you once you hit jackpot level? Because those who don't have x amount of people praying for them aren't as important? Fuck that man. And people wonder hy I'm atheist. Religion hurts people

Your comment totally reminds me of Crazy Blog Lady (aka "Mckmama") and her little speech a few years ago (to a room with many mothers who lost children to various sicknesses) about how her "miracle boy" was healed because he was "the most prayed for baby". Seriously, Jennifer McKinney, fuck right the hell off.

Totally agree. When medicine heals someone, I thank science and intelligent people who know how to use it.

I agree. It's like saying if you have a serious disease and die then it was somehow your own fault for not being a good enough person.

I agree with you! glad I logged in to check out what you meant. Im not highly religious either, but my DH is and its hard sometimes to get on board with that stuff. I dont beleive in the same things, but somehow we are good together. Say what you feel and mean what you say--we are all entitled! :)

This was a super refreshing (as far as death and sick babies can get) post amid much of my online mommy friend's stuff. And I TOTALLY agree.

One thing that also gets to me is giving "God" all the praise and thanks for the work of doctors. I'd be pissed if I was a doctor who saved someone's life only for "God" to get all the credit.

I have to agree with you, I don't understand a lot of people.
