Sometimes I thnk I am to protective of my kids. I want to be the "cool" mom but I feel like there is also a fine line between mother and friend. I worrie that when Anna and Caleb get older I won't have all the answers I need to deal with situations. It is wwaaayyy too early to be overprotective! If he is 15 and not allowed to cross the street w/o mommy there to hold his hand THEN we will talk..But as far as TV shows and independence, no such thing as overprotection there. TV is awful for kids (and I can send you the studies to prove it) and protection is a necesity for kids. You are the one that needs to teach them right from wrong and you make the standards. don't worry about what other people think if you know in your heart that it is right than it is. end of story.
