you know, that flanel shirt? I never even noticed it was flanel. never... paid the least attention to it. rotflol, I did a double-take uh?? the first time someone looked at that icon and said 'flanel'....

f) I tend to lean toward the older men. In the 80's I was a teen. Instead of the teen stars, I had posters of Tom Selleck, Harrison Ford, Jan-Michael Vincent, RDA, Don Johnson, Mark Harmon . . . LOL!
I still think that's hilarious. I LOVE flannel.
Funny sotry (or i think so anyway) hubby's ex-fiance had given him a flannel shirt for Christmas before they broke it off. After we got married, I started wearing it (it was SOOOO comfy). Went to the mall one day and saw her while I was wearing it. LMAO! She was NOT amused . . .

You have been through a crap load of stuff in your life - but you don't just sit there and say *oh poor me, look how horrible my life is . . . . * You are strong and a great friend.

What was high school like? It was hell. My class was full of arrogant rich kids who were either too dumb or showed zero empathy for things I was going through, all of it because I didn't have fancy clothes and wasn't allowed to go out. I didn't fit in (and I feel that's the story of my life - I simply don't fit in, no matter where I am. I guess I learned not to be accepted and maybe lately I don't really try to fit into what people think is right). The kids from my class used to be cruel on me, even when I was at my worst (with my health). I had to go to dialysis, missed ton of classes, had to catch up a lot, and they called me the teacher's pet. I had good grades, because i wanted to go to Uni, they called me a nerd. I think most of them grew up to be insensitive and obnoxious people. I'd never go back to high school, and I wish I had a chance to tell them in their faces they behaved like assholes.
To sum it up, I hated it.

I wish we would have been in high school together. I'D have been your friend. High school was hell for me, too. Not for medical reasons, but for red-headed afro reasons . . .
