No,you are not the only one :( Thankfully our (UK) mother's day has been & gone as it is always in March, but it is pretty vile when everything says 'No Mom for you!' :P

Try do something with your son however, he obviously loves his mom :)

Funny, that's what I see too... "No mom to celebrate for you". Thank you for the compliment on my son. He makes it worth trying to do something :)

I feel ya!
I was 16 when my mom died in 1998. There are so many things I wish she was around to talk to about. The pain isn't as sharp anymore as it used to be. And I am fortunate to have a stepmom who I love and a mother in law too. I used to dread mother's day, and I totally get how hard it will be for you without your stepmom as well.
I do agree with the above commenter- let your son celebrate his mom. Even tho you don't have your mom(s) anymore, you are still a great mom. And he is old enough for you to share your feelings with. Maybe when you are spending some alone time with him on that day, share some stories of your mom and stepmom. Tell him you were lucky to have those two amazing women to set examples for you on how to be a great mom. And tell him it is hard for you because you miss them a lot, ask him how he would feel if you were not there. But then make sure to thank him for celebrating you.
**hugs**

I think you should celebrate with your son, he maynot understand your pain. But, he does love you and wants you to be happy
