hmm... no title for this one, I guess

So I realized after writing this particular one-shot... that I should stop... unless I really have something good...

because it's getting worse and worse each time I write... it's getting me annoyed... let alone all the others who are reading...
but since I already wrote this last night... I'm gonna post it...

*sigh*
I honestly don't know how this came about.. but here it is rearing it's ugly-but-nevertheless-existent head.

TITLE: Kimg Jaejoong: My Best Friend
Pairing: Jaeho/Yunjae, implied (actually more like stated) Yoosu.
Rating: PG
Genre: fluff/crack
Length: 1634 words
Disclaimer: I do not own them bla bla bla...

A/N: Okay.. so this is basically the early dbsk days, kay? umm. I guess this is when the jaeho sparks started... I'd like to think that things like this flashed through Yunho's mind and drove him crazy before he finally realized that he shouldn't (and couldn't if he tried) avoid his feelings toward a certain older man.

“Hey Changmin, you’re smart, yes?” Changmin looked up from the book he was reading, hesitantly replying the question posed but his hyung, lest it be a tricky one.

“…I’ve been told that, yes…,” he stated finally, with a hint of arrogance in his tone. “…Why?” he asked, eyes narrowing in suspicion.

“Okay, I’m going to tell you a story about Yoochun and Junsu. But it’s a secret and you can’t tell anyone that I told you. Not even your favorite Jaejoong hyung…” Yunho paused for a moment before adding, “ESPECIALLY not your Jaejoong hyung. Got it?”

Eyes lit up in the prospect of new blackmail material on his two hyungs, Changmin closed the distance between the leader and himself, now grinning and all ears.

So the story begins…

“Hey Yunho, I can’t find my hoodie. Do you think I can…,” the lithe singer hadn’t even finished his sentence when the person he addressed appeared before him with an armful of hoodies. Jaejoong giggled.

“Thanks man. You always let me borrow your clothes. But damn, did you bring your whole sweater collection?” Yunho widened his grin before he froze.

Jaejoong had shamelessly, albeit gracefully, taken off the shirt he was wearing. Then, bare-chested, he looked over the choices he now had with one hand underneath his chin and another glued to his waist. Unable to decide, he finally turned to the younger man.

“Hey Yunho, which one do you think would look best on me? This?” he picked up an ivory colored one and dangled it on his left. “Or this?” A silver-gray hoodie now appeared on his right.

Yunho couldn’t concentrate. He was focusing on the view in the middle and if it was up to him, he’d have Jaejoong walk around in his birthday suit. But alas, he couldn’t say that and would have to kill everyone else so that they wouldn’t have the privilege of viewing something as ethereal as Jaejoong’s perfectly lean but chiseled body.

Nevertheless, it was one of those moments that made him feel grateful he chose the entertainment business. Although sometimes, being in the same room with the older man drove him to the brink of insanity, not that he minded the wonderful view.

“The gray one,” the dancer stated simply, turning his gaze away from the tempting view.

“You’re just saying that. You’re not even looking,” Jaejoong pouted. Yunho was amused.

Sometimes he wondered whether the oldest was toying with his emotions or if he really was clueless. Today, just for the sake of his sanity, Yunho decided on the latter.

“I know my sweaters and I know you. I say the gray one.” From the corner of his eyes, Yunho saw the singer pick up the gray hoodie. He smirked, but the satisfaction only lasted a second before another fact dawned on him. He cleared his throat. “Um… Jaejoong? Aren’t you going to wear a shirt underneath or something?”

“Nope,” he replied casually. “It’s cold enough to wear a sweater but if I wear a shirt, it gets hot. And you know how much I sweat.” Yunho gulped. Was that a wink that he saw from the other man? He kicked himself mentally in the head for the images of sweaty Jaejoong that were flooding through his brain.

“So yeah, I think Yoochun was completely turned on when he saw Junsu wore that gray sweater. What do you think that means?” Yunho asked after retelling the event, bending the story slightly.

Changmin looked at his hyung oddly before giving his two cents. “That he’s crazy?” He replied sarcastically and sighed. “Hyung, I may be smart, but I’m not psychic. How the hell am I supposed to know? You’re not giving me much information.” The youngest was now getting impatient, wanting desperately to leave and finish the climax of the novel.

Yunho pouted causing Changmin’s expression to soften a little. “I just wanted to know what it means… OH! I have another story that might help.”

Yunho was staring at his roommate again; this time with a slight frown upon his otherwise perfect face. Something wasn’t right with Jaejoong’s appearance but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. Yes, Jaejoong looked stunning as he always did but something was missing.

“What are you staring at Yunho?” Jaejoong caught the leader’s eye through the closet mirror. Yunho twitched slightly, embarrassed that he was caught peeking, but quickly regained his composure.

“Something’s different about you today,” he stated nonchalantly. The older member raised his eyebrows slightly.

“Is it a good different or a bad different?” As the one most conscious about his appearance, the lithe man was starting to fidget. Yunho shook his head.

“It’s neither bad nor good. It’s just… different, is all.” That was all it took for Jaejoong to take off his shirt. “Joongie-ah, you don’t have to change just because I said something stupid like that.”

His roommate looked at him like he grew a second head.

“Well I wouldn’t want you to look at me all day with that weird gaze you had five minutes ago. Besides, you should know by now that your opinion means a lot to me.” He sighed before padding out to the door.

“Where are you going?” Yunho had this overwhelming urge to put a towel over the smaller man to prevent the other members from gawking at the porcelain skin.

“Oh, I just have to return this shirt back to Yoochun. I was trying it out ‘cos it looked amazing on him, but I guess it didn’t suit me as much as it did him,” Jaejoong shrugged before disappearing behind the door.

“Wait, I don’t understand why Yoochun hyung would think that Junsu hyung looked weird in Jaejoong hyung’s shirt. All three of them are pretty much the same size and well, they all look good in pretty much anything anyway,” Changmin interrupted and frowned. All this nonsense talk was giving him an unnecessary headache.

“Well I didn’t say that it was weird. I just said it was different,” Yunho stressed the word different but was quickly dismissed by his dongsaeng.

“Same thing. And besides, it doesn’t even sound plausible. Junsu hyung has his own clothes. If anything he’d wear Yoochun’s, not Jaejoong. And doesn’t Jaejoong hyung only like to lend his clothes to… wait a minute…OH!” A knowing smirk appeared on Changmin’s face.

Yunho lit up. “What? Did you finally figure out what was wrong with Yoochun?”

“Nope,” Changmin smirked. “But I did find out what’s wrong with you.” Yunho looked flabbergasted as the heat rose to his cheeks.

“What are you talking about? We’re here to discuss Yoochun and Junsu remember?” The tallest singer shook his head.

“We’re talking about you and Jaejoong hyung,” He was now pointing his forefinger in the air. “It all made sense now… why you wouldn’t want me to tell any of them. They wouldn’t know what I’m talking about. And besides, if this is really happening to Yoochun hyung, he wouldn’t even come to me for advice. He’d figure it out on his own. He did figure it out on his own. That’s why he now rarely lets anyone touch Junsu below the waist. Did you know? Yoochun hyung even slapped my hands when it accidentally brushed across Junsu hyung’s butt!”

Yunho would have strangled his dongsaeng for going on a tangent if he didn’t need the younger man’s counsel. So he did the second best thing and cut the drabble short. “Figure what out on his own?” Changmin stopped rambling and was looking smug, as if he had just solved a puzzle.

“Why you were acting weird whenever Jaejoong hyung wear clothes other than his own or yours. And you feel happier when he wears yours, yes?” The youngest apparently had a flair for drama for he was pausing every so often and speaking so slowly that the leader was about to claw the words out of him.

“SO?!?! What was it?”

“AHA! I was right! It was you and Jaejoong hyung wasn’t it?”

“Changmin…” Malice practically dripped from every syllable Yunho uttered. Changmin decided it was better to stop stalling and just tell the clueless man.

“Well, it’s simple really. You’re just feeling possessive over Jaejoong hyung. It’s a common malady that infects hot couples, especially hot male couples. And you two totally fit the criteria,” the tall boy explained nonchalantly. Yunho looked absolutely shocked.

“We are NOT a couple!”

“Uh huh, keep telling your brain that. Maybe it’ll listen and save us all from the sexual tension between the two of you. I actually wish that you WOULD be like Yoochun and Junsu. At least they accept it. Anyways, that’s my opinion. Take it or leave it. I’m gonna go into my room and finish my reading that you had so rudely interrupted.” As Changmin was about to leave, Yunho caught his wrist.

“Wait, how did you know I was talking about me?”

“You said so yourself… I’m smart remember?” With that, the youngest left the living room, leaving Yunho to ponder the overwhelming discovery on his own.

“So Yunho, can I borrow something of yours again? I’m getting tired of my stuff and you said Yoochun’s stuff looked weird on me.” Something swelled inside of Yunho.

“Sure, just look through my closet and pick out anything you want.” Jaejoong smiled sweetly to his roommate.

“Thanks Yunho, you’re the best roommate ever.” Jaejoong went over to Yunho’s side of the closet and put on a simple patterned white shirt. In actuality, the shirt looked almost the same as the one Yoochun had but this one caused Yunho to grin that special smile of his and it was good enough for Jaejoong.

And for the thousandth time, Yunho was glad that Jaejoong was his roommate after all.
