We've now been here just over two weeks.  We are still in love with this place called Colorado.  If you haven't been checking out the 365-Degree blog, you should be!!  I post pictures every day of things we see or do.  Most of the last couple of weeks have been pictures from here.  I drive to work every morning and am just in awe of my view.  First ( Read more... )

Yes your right, small bumps in the road but nothing we as a family unit cant handle my dear. Yes we were at each others throats before moving here but everyday I awake and feel more at home. The house and yard are taking shape and we already got positive feed back from the house agent on the front. Things are getting better and once I'm employed I will feel better about everything too!
Really no homesick pangs for me-there are some friends I miss but with the internet ,not completely away from them.

So, what are grocery store "customer cards" -- don't think I've ever heard of them! Our grocery used to do charge accounts but quit a few yrs ago as it was too much administration to charge for small amounts (like a jug of milk) -- so it is all cash on the barrelhead now (or credit cards).

It's a "points" card, you get points for using it which you can later use for discounts. And there are discounted items on the shelves "with card" too. b
for example, Diet Coke 2 liter bottles are normally 1.58. But with the customer card and buying ten, they are .89. This can equal big savings!
