1. Ethan has several herds of baby dinosaurs now. One set is the original Lego maiasaura, which he generally keeps in a shoebox by his bed. Then came a small model iguanodon he got for Christmas. Then several small wind-up dinosaurs that walk around periodically on a bath towel in the middle of the living room floor (their nest). And now he's made ( Read more... )

cole_b has a similar, though more common, mispronunciation of clock (cock) and truck (fuck). He was recently running down the streets of Lowell yelling about My Cock! because there was a big clock at the end of the block. I got a lot of dirty looks, so I tried saying loudly, "Yes, that can be your CLOCK."

Steven feeds Elmo... I just put the food back on his plate once Elmo is done "eating" and says yum. Ethan may be beyond such trickery though.

Have you thought about buying some "dino food"?
Have something cheap and easy, boxed grits or something, and before he sees it, place it in an unlabeled container, like a tupperware. Anytime he thinks his dinos need food, tell him that you went to Petsmart and bought dino food, and then present the grits to him.
I hope this helps.

Maybe you should get something the cats will eat, and thus you won't have any clean-up.

My brother got into speech therapy when my mother noticed he was saying "THIT" a lot- it was him repeating her saying "Shit" all the time, but with his lisp.

but these little guys are becoming quite a food sink. Maybe I could tell Ethan they need to diet?

Explain that you've spoken to a veterinarian, and that because these are PLASTIC dinosaurs, they need plastic food, otherwise they'll get very, very ill. (Tell him they'll get scurvy, that way you can google it for him and he'll believe you, LOL.)
