I’m so sorry for your loss and how your mom behaved. Was/Is she always like that or just reacting to grief/loss?

Thank you! My mom has always been passive aggressive and tends to be difficult, but this was an extreme case. Thankfully she isn't still that bad.

Ack, what a slice of life. It fits the prompt so well, even though it is a difficult topic. Very sorry to hear about your recent loss, but even in the face of anger and belligerence it sounds like you are part of a strong and beautiful family.

so sorry for your loss. My first thought was that if your mom agreed to things then that made it real. your dad was gone and that was just too painful to deal with.

Thank you. You have a really good point. My mom is always passive aggressive, but this was way worse than usual. I was in too much pain myself to deal with it either.
