House scarves and Lost poetry

You are all jealous, because my sister crocheted me a Gryffindor scarf. Conveniently, Gryffindor's colors are also my high school's colors (that is, the high school I graduated from in '92--I'm no longer that young), so I have an excuse to be geeky and wear it. She might even take commissions if you want one yourself, perhaps in other Hogwarts ( Read more... )

*ponders a Ravenclaw* They're silver and blue, aren't they?

Looks cute on ye, either way. :)

[oh, and lest you think you've acquired a new stalker, this is Trilliah. So no new stalker, anyway...]

Depends if you're doing book or movie.

So do I (and sadly, despite what the books say, I think people are more likely to recognize what they saw in the movies.)

I actually just reciefed the Gryffindor scarf I ordered last week. It's quite nice and in the same style as your own.

Personally Lost doesn't seem quite worth watching anymore. I get much more satisfaction from House and Heroes...even Ugly Betty. All three of which I highly recommend :)

I have enjoyed what I've seen of House--got to love Hugh Laurie anywhere! And many a person has recommended Heroes now, so I should probably check that out too, along with Betty. Lost is getting something of a third-season slump...but most shows do, I guess. And most never recover, either.

Balderdash and fiddle-dee-dee! I've been knitting HP house scarves for over a year now. (Made myself a Hufflepuff one.) My sister and her son look dashing in their respective Slytherin/Gryffindor neckwear.

Oh, I imagine it's not unusual at all. But some of us don't have the time and talent for textiles (ooh, alliteration!), so for us it's fun to get them as commissions or gifts.

Both my High School AND my College were Maroon and Gold! The mascots where near enough to be wierd too. Golden Lancers and Golden Bears respectively.

PS - I don't watch Lost, so I have nothign to add on that topic. Heroes is tres awesome though.

Also the Sunnydale High colors, I noticed. :) Woo!

Sounds like I need to jump on the Heroes bus one of these months.

Desmond could hardly look more like Jesus if he tried.

Funny you should say that, because his IMDB says he's already done the Jesus bit (and has looked quite lovely doing it as well).
